A new high-end beachfront resort has been contracted by Hilton in the sought-after Algarve region of Portugal, anticipated to open its doors in the spring of 2027.
Conrad Meia Praia Algarve will provide 116 rooms and suites along with 21 branded residences in the southern tip of Portugal. The resort is conveniently situated a short distance from Lagos town, directly on Meia Praia beach.
Dan Wakeling, who serves as the vice president of development for luxury and residential segments in Europe, the Middle East & Africa at Hilton, stated that the upcoming property “marks a significant achievement in Hilton’s strategy for luxury expansion throughout Europe.”
“This remarkable beachfront destination will contribute to our growing portfolio of Conrad locations in the area and present visitors with a fresh opportunity to enjoy a luxury experience in one of Portugal’s most frequented tourist spots,” remarked Wakeling. “We are thrilled to collaborate with the joint venture comprising PGIM Real Estate, Sonae Sierra, and Iberian Hospitality Solutions (IHSP) along with their expert development team to realize this vision.”
The accommodations at Conrad Meia Praia Algarve will ensure all guests enjoy sea vistas, with seven of those offering private plunge pools. Moreover, the property will include two dining options, a beach club, lobby and poolside bars, as well as both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a spa, a fitness facility, and versatile event spaces.
