The investment firm Gencom, headquartered in the U.S., has completed the acquisition of The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park, marking its third luxury hotel purchase in New York City within the last 16 months.
This acquisition follows Gencom’s earlier purchases of Thompson Central Park in 2024 and InterContinental New York Times Square in December 2025. Gencom has maintained enduring partnerships with numerous hotel brands, including The Ritz-Carlton, making this its 11th property under the Ritz-Carlton name.
The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park is a hotel featuring 253 rooms located in the Plaza District of Midtown Manhattan, boasting an all-day dining establishment, a club lounge offering culinary demonstrations, the renowned La Prairie Spa, and a newly updated fitness center.
Gencom’s collection, which emphasizes luxury accommodations, resorts, and branded residences, comprises properties managed by Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, St. Regis, Rosewood, Thompson Hotels, InterContinental Hotels, Andaz, Fairmont, and Auberge Resorts.
