Jeff C. Rutledge, the CEO of Travel Guard, has decided to retire early from the travel insurance firm. His departure, part of Zurich Cover-More, will take effect on March 1, 2026.
For nearly two decades, Rutledge has steered AIG Travel and its Travel Guard divisions as CEO, transforming it into one of the foremost recognized global brands in travel insurance and assistance services. In December 2024, Zurich completed the acquisition of AIG’s Personal Travel Insurance sector.
Chris Vink, the CEO of Zurich Cover-More, expressed, “We are grateful for Jeff’s committed and essential leadership that has facilitated a smooth transition of Travel Guard into Zurich Cover-More, and we wish him the very best as he embarks on this new phase.”
As of now, no information regarding his successor has been disclosed.
