ALG Vacations has unveiled its schedule of travel advisor events for 2026, highlighting the dates for its upcoming MegaFAM and the well-regarded Ascend conference.
The tour operator’s array of travel advisor events encompasses various recognition-focused retreats, FAM trips centered around destinations, business development initiatives, and large educational conferences.
As previously disclosed, the main Ascend Conference is set to take place in Cancun this October, featuring workshops spanning multiple days and a supplier tradeshow. Additionally, the tour operator will conduct a series of Groups Roadshow events across the country, and will reintroduce its dual Kindness events in July: Kindness Conference for 40 under-40 travel advisors and Kindness Connection for 40 experienced professionals aiming to inspire and be inspired.
For 2026, ALGV is launching a Content Creators Trip, a contest-driven initiative aimed at assisting social-media-savvy advisors in enhancing their businesses through storytelling and digital marketing.
“Every event is crafted with a distinct aim,” stated Jim Tedesco, vice president of sales. “Whether an advisor is concentrating on comprehensive sales expansion, product specialization, group business, or content development, our objective is to assist them in selecting the experiences that will provide the utmost value for their enterprise.”
Travel advisors keen on participating in the 2026 events are encouraged to express their interest via the ALGV event page. These events do have particular prerequisites, and all participants must possess ALGVPro certification.
“At ALG Vacations, we don’t support a one-size-fits-all approach to events,” remarked Jacki Marks, global head of trade sales and engagement. “Our events for 2026 are structured to enable advisors to purposefully decide where to invest their time by opting for experiences that correspond with their business growth aspirations.”
ALGV 2026 FAM Opportunities
The beloved MegaFAM format will return this summer with two Pros on the Go excursions in Cancun (June) and Punta Cana (July). First rolled out in 2024, these enhanced familiarization trips gather approximately 150 travel advisors for multi-resort site tours, tailored excursions, and a dedicated day for professional growth.
Additionally, ALGV will be hosting advisors in Europe for a more conventional FAM trip in September that centers around London and Ireland. This chance was created for travel advisors aiming to expand their long-haul market and will feature site visits, unique outings, and opportunities to engage with ALGV leadership.
Lastly, the tour operator is collaborating with Fiji Airlines for a small-group FAM in Fiji and Australia, set for August (specific resorts to be revealed). This week-long opportunity is open to advisors who have shown success or a commitment to advancing their Indo-Pacific market with ALGV.
This year, ALGV already conducted a voluntourism FAM in Jamaica for 100 advisors, which aimed to support the island’s recovery following the devastating consequences of record-breaking Hurricane Melissa—while reminding attendees that the Caribbean nation’s hotels and tourist destinations have returned to normal conditions.
