The Travel Institute has joined forces with Princess Cruises for a year-long project aimed at enhancing the professional growth of travel advisors. This project adopts a comprehensive strategy that encompasses education, involvement, and tools for acknowledgment.
“Princess Cruises stands as a legendary travel brand, and our exciting new partnership reflects our collective vision for advisor professionalism, which fosters greater success within the industry. We greatly appreciate witnessing our shared commitment materialize,” stated Guida Botelho, CTIE, vice president at The Travel Institute.
The joint effort between Princess Cruises and The Travel Institute centers on distinct initiatives that promote professional growth and advisor achievement. Notable aspects include:
Curriculum: Collaboration on materials for The Travel Institute’s forthcoming “Alaska Destination Specialist Course,” anticipated to debut in Q2 2026.
Advisor Professionalism: Princess will provide scholarships for TRIPKIT and the three-tier advanced certification program of The Travel Institute, including CTA, CTC, and CTIE. Additionally, Princess will support The Travel Institute’s “New to the Travel Industry” webinars, which aim to introduce potential candidates to the field and furnish practical insights and actionable strategies for success.
Certified Alumni Recognition and Incentives: Graduates who successfully complete the Princess Commodore Program receive 10 continuing education units, or CEUs, from The Travel Institute, as required for the maintenance of active certification. Princess will also honor The Travel Institute’s certified alumni through a special opt-in booking incentive for CTA, CTC, and CTIE graduates.
“Travel advisors are essential to our industry’s vitality. By investing in their training, we are contributing to the sustained success of the broader travel community,” remarked Carmen Roig, senior vice president of sales and trade marketing at Princess Cruises. “Our enhanced collaboration with The Travel Institute reaffirms our trust in their mission to promote advisor professionalism and maintain the highest educational standards within the field.”
“The high-quality education we provide does not occur in isolation. It requires dedicated partners who are committed to developing professionals to fortify careers and uplift our industry,” Botelho noted.
