Caroline Hay, who previously held the position of vice president of cruise at Trevello, has accepted a new position with Global Travel Collection (GTC), a luxury travel agency network based in the U.S.
“With a solid foundation already established and substantial prospects on the horizon, I’m eager to enhance our leadership in the cruise sector, strengthen collaborations with partners, and foster significant growth and opportunities for our advisor community,” Hay remarked today as she unveiled her new position.
Hay officially departed from Trevello in January after nearly a decade with the firm, where she played a key role in the transformation of Trevello from its former identity as Travel Planners International. Throughout her tenure, Hay held roles including national director of sales, general manager of cruise, and ultimately, vice president of cruise. Before this, she worked as a BDM with Princess Cruises and Cunard, and served as a franchise development manager at Expedia.
Even though GTC has no current members in Canada, Vanessa McGovern, the SVP of Partner Product, Marketing, and Events at GTC, expressed to TMR earlier this year that Hay is an “ideal” addition to GTC and that the organization was thrilled to have her join to assist in expanding the cruise division.
