Following two weeks after its initial announcement of a new combined loyalty initiative uniting Scenic Club and EmeraldEXPLORER, Scenic Group is now unveiling details about the freshly launched Scenic & Emerald Rewards program. This includes a point-based reward system that allows travelers to accumulate points, which can be redeemed for discounts on future bookings.
Created based on substantial feedback from guests and travel advisors, the new initiative acknowledges and rewards travel experiences across all Scenic and Emerald luxury yacht, river, and guided land journeys.
“We determined this was the opportune moment to integrate everything,” Robert Castro, vice president of marketing at Scenic Group, explained to TMR, noting that travelers have expressed a desire for acknowledgment of their journeys across the Scenic Group brand family.
Equally important, travel advisors have indicated that their clients show interest in exploring other Scenic offerings, yet they are hesitant to forfeit their established loyalty benefits with a single brand.
“We’ve certainly noticed travelers moving between both [Scenic and Emerald]. We also received feedback that they wanted to explore but wished to ensure that the loyalty they cultivated with one brand would be acknowledged in some manner,” Castro elaborated.
(Though Scenic Group does not promote its tour experiences in North America, Castro informed TMR that numerous former Scenic and Emerald cruisers have booked land tours after discovering them while on a cruise. These land tours will count towards the new loyalty program.)
Four Levels
The newly established Scenic & Emerald Rewards program merges members’ current status points from the previous two programs into a unified total, which is then applied to the new program’s four-tiered framework: Gold, Diamond, Emerald, and Chairman’s Club. Each tier retains the benefits of the one below it along with additional amenities and advantages.
Gold tier members enjoy access to exclusive offers, early access to cruises and land journeys, along with a dedicated contact via phone and email.
At the Diamond tier, members benefit from priority reservations for dining, excursions, and helicopter/submarine activities, a complimentary airport transfer or hotel stay (in select regions), a transfer credit, complimentary pre- or post-journey accommodation on trips lasting 20 nights or more, and the ability to have six complimentary laundry items per day on Scenic Yachts exclusively.
Emerald level members are entitled to prioritized service from the Premium Guest Concierge team, in addition to two pieces of complimentary laundry daily on both Scenic and Emerald river cruises, six pieces daily on Scenic Yachts or two per day on Emerald Yachts, private transfers at the beginning or end of the journey (in selected cities), invitation-only dining experiences, one complimentary hour of massage or facial treatment during a Yacht cruise, as well as a designer lapel pin.
Upon reaching the Chairman’s Club tier, members can look forward to a complimentary seven-night river cruise in a lead-in balcony suite (on select itineraries) in Europe or Asia. Members of the Chairman’s Club tier also enjoy a complimentary suite enhancement to the next category on a Scenic or Emerald cruise (subject to availability, excludes premium suites), an upgraded private transfer vehicle (in select cities only), a personalized welcome gift pack, early booking privileges for dining, an invitation to an annual Chairman’s Club gathering, and a 50% reduction in travel insurance costs (where applicable).
Additional benefits for Chairman’s Club members will be introduced during Yacht sailings in 2027 and 2028, including a complimentary private car excursion (subject to availability, starting in April 2027) and one helicopter or flightseeing adventure on select Scenic itineraries (starting April 2028).
MyRewards
The new MyRewards component of the program allows members to earn 1% of the value of their new eligible bookings as an actual cash amount that can be used to reduce costs on their next Scenic Group reservation. Known as MyReward points, this monetary amount can also be accumulated when a client books a pre- or post-cruise land extension and utilized for such extensions.
Travel advisors will have the ability to apply these savings on behalf of their clients through ExpressBook, using the “Make a MyRewards Redemption” option. Advisors should be aware that MyRewards points cannot be utilized for deposits; they can only be applied toward full payment.
Automatic Transition
Current members have been smoothly transitioned into the new Scenic & Emerald Rewards program automatically. Those in merged tiers have been assigned to a corresponding or higher tier, with status points adjusted accordingly, ensuring guests can continue to benefit from their rewards.
