Nobu Hospitality is expanding its global presence and is set to introduce its offerings in the Maldives. Collaborating with investment firm Sarat International, the development of Nobu Hotel, Residences, and Restaurant Maldives is underway, although no timeline for the opening has been disclosed.
The upcoming resort will feature 26 villas on the beach, which include one- and two-bedroom options, alongside 30 overwater villas of similar configurations, all set in this luxurious area along the scenic Indian Ocean coastline. Additionally, the facility will boast 10 private island residences, a signature Nobu dining establishment, and wellness amenities.
“The Maldives represents a premier destination for tourists that has always captured our interest for an innovative resort concept. Prior to embarking on this venture, we envisioned something exceptionally unique,” remarked Trevor Horwell, CEO of Nobu Hospitality. “As part of the evolving landscape of Maldives hotels, we aspire to establish a novel benchmark of exclusivity. Our focus is to craft an unparalleled island experience instead of adhering to conventional models—one where design, outstanding dining, and the natural surroundings exist in perfect harmony.”
Nobu Hotel, Residences, and Restaurant Maldives will feature a central swimming pool, a comprehensive spa treatment facility, an advanced fitness center, a diving school, tennis courts, and space for events. The Nobu restaurant, highlighting Chef Nobu’s favored Japanese-Peruvian dishes, will be located on its own private island complete with a bar and lounge area.
