Due to the overwhelming interest in its eagerly awaited return to Alaska this summer, Azamara Cruises is enhancing its Destination Immersion commitment by introducing cruise/tours for 2027.
The options blend an Alaska cruise with pre- or post-tours that explore the interior of Alaska and Western Canada.
“Our return to Alaska in 2026 validates the consistent feedback we receive from our clientele, emphasizing that more profound and immersive adventures are what truly resonate,” stated Shandra Stoeterau, director of land product development at Azamara Cruises.
She noted that input from guests was instrumental in developing the cruise/tour options.
The pre- and post-cruise packages will consist of four-, five-, and six-night programs, paired with Azamara’s 10- and 11-night voyages. Each package includes accommodations, transfers, luggage handling, guided tours, selected meals, and entries.
Available options include:
Alaska Explorer: Denali, Talkeetna, Riverboat & Rail (4 nights): This program can be chosen as either a pre- or post-cruise option and features a journey along the Chena River on a vintage sternwheeler, gold panning, a ride in a Deluxe Dome Railcar, exploring Denali National Park, and more. Additional activities may consist of a jet boat experience in Talkeetna and interactive cultural sessions at the Alaska Native Heritage Center.
Canadian Rockies: Rocky Mountaineer (5 nights): This post-cruise itinerary includes visits to Banff National Park, Lake Louise, and Moraine Lake, with options for GoldLeaf or SilverLeaf service levels on Rocky Mountaineer. Guests opting for GoldLeaf will have access to enhanced dome seating, fine dining, and outdoor viewing platforms. SilverLeaf guests will enjoy a more leisurely rail experience featuring panoramic windows and meals served at their seats.
Banff, Lake Louise & Whistler: Journey through the Rockies (6 nights): This pre-cruise journey transports guests from Calgary to Vancouver, featuring stops in Banff and Lake Louise, picturesque drives through the Rockies, bear viewing via Land Rover, local wine tastings, and more activities.
Some select 2027 Alaska cruise/tours are also combined with transpacific voyages from Northern Japan to Alaska, allowing guests to discover Japan prior to crossing the Pacific and then continuing their journey inland through Alaska and the Canadian Rockies.
